Stokes Parameters Measurement behind a Tilted Polarizer

Polarizers are common components in various optical systems. To describe the functions of a polarizer, not only for the paraxial case but also beyond, an idealized model is implemented for non-paraxial cases in VirtualLab. As an example, the interaction of a polarizer with incident waves from different angles is investigated. The resulting field behind the polarizer is characterized by using Stokes parameters.
